What I've Been Noticing Lately...

This last month has carried me through some incredible highs… and some deeply difficult lows.

Even with all the tools, awareness, and years of growth work, I found myself reactive in ways I didn’t expect, overwhelmed by small things, and feeling disoriented despite rest and time away.

I share this because maybe you’ve felt it too, the experience of thinking you’re “past” something, only to find a deeper layer waiting to be witnessed.

What brought it all into focus wasn’t a diagnosis or a label; it was a client’s honest reflection about how parenting her daughter was surfacing her childhood wounds. And in that moment, I saw myself.

My experience with my son was the same. He mirrored something unhealed in me, not because anything was wrong, but because it was safe enough to rise. These weren’t new wounds, but they were ready to be seen and felt.

So I begin again, not from scratch, but from a deeper place. With support. With softness. With honesty. What healing really looks like is presence, not perfection, facing, not fixing. It’s not about getting it “right”. It’s about being willing to return to yourself with compassion when it gets hard.

Quick Tip: When the Past Sneaks Into the Present

If you’ve felt reactive, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself lately, the truth is:

You’re not broken.

You’re being invited to heal something.

Here’s how to meet it with grace:

1️⃣ Pause– Before labeling your response as “bad,” pause. Ask: What does this remind me of? When have I felt like this before?

2️⃣ Get Curious, Not Critical– Triggers are messengers. They’re not about weakness, they’re about unmet needs. They are surfacing what needs attention.

3️⃣ Respond with Compassion– Validation opens the door to resolution. Try to understand what is making this situation difficult for you.

If You Need Support...

You don’t have to carry it alone. If you're in a season that’s bringing up more than you know how to handle, let's talk.

Whether you've worked with me before or are curious about starting, I offer a free consultation where we can identify what kind of help would be best. Maybe it's coaching, therapy, mentoring, or something else.

Together, we’ll find the best path forward.

What I’m Currently Obsessed With: Water

This month, I traveled to Sedona to meet the visionary researcher Veda Austin. She is reshaping how I see the world and relate to water. Her work shows that water is more than substance; it is a living intelligence that stores light, emotion, and is the house of the divine.

On paper, it’s simple: two atoms of hydrogen bonded to one of oxygen. Yet that humble formula holds the epitome of extremes. Those hydrogen bonds break and reform a trillion times a second, creating a lattice flexible enough to cradle new life yet strong enough to carve canyons.

Water is simultaneously corrosive and cradling, gentle enough to calm, unrelenting enough to cause nightmares, forever adapting from mist to ice to ocean and back again.

Water is the womb of creation. It coaxes life from stillness, transforming the inanimate into pulse and breath. Whenever the pace of life feels jagged, I find myself returning to water’s reminder:

  • Yield without losing strength.
  • Flow without forcing.
  • Carry stories in silence.
  • Bend without breaking.
  • Rise again without resistance.

“I don’t think that we can separate ourselves from water, and that is because we are bodies of water.” May we let water teach us its quiet duality and invite us to begin again, clear, fluid, and profoundly alive.

Closing Thoughts

This May, I hope you give yourself permission to soften. To unravel. To listen. Healing is not about doing it all perfectly. It’s about returning to yourself, over and over again, with gentleness.

You are not behind. You are in process. You are not broken. You are becoming. With reverence and flow
