What I've Been Noticing Lately...

I recently missed a flight.

Not because I was late or disorganized, but because my daughter got hurt and we ended up in the emergency room. (good news, nothing was broken)

There wasn’t even a question. Of course, I stayed with her instead of chasing after my plane.

And at the same time… it completely threw off my plans.

What was supposed to be a quick, simple trip turned into logistical chaos and hours of driving.

And if I’m honest, I wouldn’t have chosen that.

But something happened on that drive that I didn’t expect.

I slowed down.
I had space to think in a way I haven’t in a long time.

And in that space, I realized something.

One of the things I’ve quietly been wanting is easier access to a car when I’m in LA, not all the time, just something simple and available when I need it.

And suddenly… I had exactly that.

Not in the way I would have planned it.
But it was here.

Sometimes what we have been saying we want to create or manifest is happening…
just not in the form we expected.

I’ve always wanted land and easier access to wilderness, because I long for a deeper connection to the natural rhythms of life.

The more connected to nature I am, the less problematic my ADHD is.

For a long time, I didn’t have that. We lived in an apartment.

But I started where I was.

House plants

Patio tomatoes

Community gardens

IDWIW gardens.

For a long time, I focused on the fact that it wasn't what I really wanted.

But the truth is, the timing hasn’t been right for what my heart longs for most (it almost is).

The truth is, even when I complained, I always found little ways to move towards what I want most.

Looking back, I can see how each step has been preparing me to care for the land I have been calling in.

This part can be easy to miss.

When things don’t yet look the way we asked for or how we expected, it’s easy to think:

This isn’t working.

The truth is, there’s a middle stage,
where what we’ve asked for is beginning to take root…

We just don’t always recognize it yet.

Quick Tip: The Gumball Machine

How can you be at peace in the present when the thing you really want still isn't here?

Whenever I have a desire that is so big I don't know how it's possible, I like to put it in a imaginary gumball machine, for safekeeping.

I know that things will take time, and patience and persistence will be needed.

So every desire, every intention, goes in.

This way, it doesn’t get lost in the ethers, AND:

You don’t have to track it.
You don’t have to force it.
You don’t have to know exactly how it’s going to come back out.

Not always immediately in the form you expect.

When I stay grounded in what’s actually here, instead of reaching for what isn’t yet, I start to recognize the ways life is already orchestrating and moving things to prepare me for the desires already in my gumball machine.

This is my key to holding on without attachment to the outcome.

Manifestation Workshop – Where Intentions Take Root

May 23rd, Time TBA - On Zoom

In May, I’ll be teaching the foundational approach to manifestation that I use in my own life and with my clients, shaped by years of observing how intentions actually take root, build momentum, and come into form.

We’ll explore how to articulate your desire, what actions to take, how to clear your blocks to receiving, while you hold and nurture your vision in a way that allows it to grow, without giving up on it or holding it so tightly that it can’t unfold.
